The Photography Show, NEC 2024

The Photography Show was held at the NEC in Birmingham on the 16th - 19th March, and I presented a talk on multiple exposure on the Saturday. The show was such a fantastic event I thought I would share it with you so that if you haven’t yet been I can convince you that you really should! And not just so I can meet you!!

Fortunately my presentation was at 10.55 so I had a nervous wait for the morning (particularly as my offer was accepted on a new house but that is an entirely different story!) but once I had got there, checked out where I was speaking, checked out my laptop it was pretty much time to start! I was a bit nervous but I had the support of so many wonderful Sheclickers that I soon immersed myself in describing what I love - Multiple Exposure. If you were there I hope that you got some things to take away from it to try at home, and if you need a little more help then nip over to the courses section and let me give you a hand!

So, on top of seeing the fabulous speakers on the stages who included Emily Endean, Scarlett Page, Caroline Tran, Rachael Talibart, Tesni Ward and Tigz Rice to name but a few there is always a lot to do and see!

At the Sheclicks stand Caroline Tran was taking portraits and talked about her best tips for portraits, there were exhibitions from Sheclicks, Travel photographer of the year and LCE Photographer of the year 2024 where the winner was announced during the show time.

And yet more speakers at individual stands - this is Sarah Longes talking all things wildlife at the sheclicks stand but there was also the Canon show stands, Fujifilm, Nikon and Sony with talks specific to their brands - and then the London Camera Exchange and Wex on hand to sell you the gear you had just heard about!

AND THEN…….There are also models to take photos of and props for you to use to actually use your camera (or phone) to take many, many images!

In short one day is too short and two days is pushing it - I would thoroughly recommend that you get yourself ready for The Photography Show 2025: 8-11 March 2025, ExCeL London, UK and take some time off to enjoy it in its entirety.
